Ridgefield Kayak Launch

An older, less improved non-motorized only boat launch and floating dock on the Lake River, one block South of the Ridgefield Boat Ramp. Daily parking permits are required, and are available at the motorized Boat Ramp. Kayaks of numerous types are available for rent at Ridgefield Kayak Rentals, which is located next to the Ridgefield Boat Launch.

Environmental Considerations: 

Launch is close to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, which offers tremendous wildlife viewing opportunities, including great blue heron, river otter, osprey, bald eagle, and the occasional coyote. Be advised that foot access to the Refuge is prohibited except at specified locations.

Safety Considerations: 

Be careful if using the old wooded dock.
