Help clear brush, re-orient camp sites, repair fire rings and picnic tables, and improve this important Lower Columbia River Water Trail site for future water trail users.

Reed Island is located in the Columbia River near Steigerwald Lake Wildlife Refuge, upstream from the Port of Camas-Washougal Boat Ramp in Washougal, Washington and downstream from Rooster Rock State Park in Oregon. Washington State Park facilities on the island include camp sites, fire pits, a vault toilet, picnic tables, and a short hiking trail. The 508-acre island supports one of the largest heron rookeries in the Northwest. Join us as we celebrate National Trails Day with a short paddle on the Lower Columbia River Water Trail to Hump Island. We'll spend a few hours cleaning up the island and a large abandoned camp site. No tools, gloves or special skills required.
