The Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership and Washington State Parks will be working with a volunteer group to clean up and maintain the Lower Columbia River Water Trail campsite on the west end of Reed Island. The attempted cleanup in June was aborted due to high water levels in the Columbia which had flooded most of Reed Island, including the campsite. The site is once again dry, however, and in need of maintenance. Volunteers will cut grass and weeds, remove any trash, and perform any needed maintenance on campsite amenities.
